How to earn Trade Euros

Bartercard members earn Trade Euros by offering their goods or services into the Bartercard network. When another member purchases their goods or services, their Bartercard account is automatically credited with Trade Euros.

Ways to earn Trade Euros include:

  • Accessing Bartercard’s membership base of over 55,000 International businesses to sell goods or services

  • Networking opportunities through Bartercard’s member functions

  • Selling goods or services at Bartercard’s regular member trade shows

  • Selling excess or idle goods or services to other members, whereby Bartercard acts like a clearance house.

How to spend Trade Euros

With the guidance of your personal Bartercard account manager, there are many ways to spend your Bartercard Trade Euros to boost your business and lifestyle! Some ideas on items to purchase with your Trade Euros include marketing, business travel accommodation, business supplies, gifts, holidays, real estate, the list is extensive.

In addition to the ability to spend Trade Euros directly into a member’s account, you can also purchase multi-trade vouchers and gift vouchers. Multi-Trade Vouchers (MTVs) are a simple and fast solution to overcome the hassle of making small purchases within the Bartercard network. Small value, regularly made purchases, such as couriers, video hire, delicatessens, hotels (drinks), butchers, fruit and vegetables, groceries, take away and dry cleaning, can all be made more efficiently with MTVs.

Gift certificates allow non-Bartercard members to purchase goods and services using Trade Euros they are given by another Bartercard member. Gift certificates are ideal for Bartercard members to use as promotional prizes, gifts or payment carried out by a non-member.

TRADING OPPORTUNITIES

Bartercard literally offers members a "world" of trading opportunities that offer members benefits not only in their workplace but for lifestyle too!

Bartercard offers trading opportunities including Trade Shows, global trading, travel and real estate through the Bartercard network.

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Bartercard account managers are also referred to as Trade Co-ordinators, as they play a vital role facilitating buying and selling opportunities within the trade exchange network. Each Trade Co-ordinator manages member accounts similar to an account manager for a sales organisation.

The role of the Trade Co-ordinator includes:

  • Facilitating trading between members

  • Understanding the trading needs and goals of a member’s business

  • Educating members in the practice, tools and application of Bartercard in their business

  • Assisting the member to identify and source trading opportunities that meet their business and personal needs, thereby offsetting cash expenditure

  • Assisting the member to gain additional business by selling their goods or services through the Bartercard network

BARTERCARD NATIONAL DIRECTORY

Similar to a dictionary or the Yellow Pages, the national directory is an invaluable reference tool for Bartercard members. It lists all current businesses in the Bartercard network, providing not only their contact details, but also a short description of their goods and services. Businesses are categorised according to their goods or services, and further subdivided by geographical location. This makes the task of finding a particular good or service very easy!

The directory is updated and printed every four months to ensure it is accurate. Members can contact their Account Manager (Trade Co-ordinator) with any amendments or updates that they wish to be made between editions. If new members join Bartercard between editions of the directory, their details will automatically be uploaded onto the International Online Directory within one week of joining and included in the next printed edition.

ONLINE SERVICES

Bartercard's online services facilitate access to global trading opportunities 24 hours a day seven days a week.
