Staff Bonuses & incentives
This is yet an another way of using Bartercard to benefit your
business and get ahead of the competition. Perhaps you already
have a bonus system of some kind to encourage your employees.
The value to the employee is the face value of the goods or the
holiday, but the cost to you is less. It is as beneficial to you
as giving your staff bonuses in kind – or whatever your product
or service happens to be. Fine if you are a supermarket, but
less attractive if you make ball bearings. The possibilities are
limit less, but here are some ideas: Talk to your trade co-ordinator
about the possibilities for your business, and how to set up
Bartercard Staff Accounts. We provide each staff with a
directory to use as he chooses. Purchasing books, flowers,
designers suits, shoes, travel packages etc. Use Bartercatd to
maximum potential and make your staff feel cared for and pay for
it the smarter way.

Cash converting
Cash converting is a method of turning your trade pounds into
cash. Simplified, you buy products / services with trade pounds
and then sell to staff, family, friends or business associates
for cash.
To cash convert you need to consider:
- who you know (staff, family, friends and business associates?)
- what you know (renovating houses, restoring cars etc?)
for example:
- go to dinner with your friends at a Bartercard restaurant.
Settle the final bill in Bartercard and collect cash off your
friends as payment
- one of your staff may need mechanical repairs done on their
car. Offer to pay for this on Bartercard now and garnish their
wages in cash over a period of time

Debt recovery
Are you having trouble collecting cash from one of your
customers? To accelerate the collection or actually increase the
chance of getting paid you can offer to accept part or all of
the outstanding amount owing you in your customer’s goods. On
arrangement with Bartercard, you can sell these goods to other
Bartercard members or offer them to Bartercard brokerage office
to purchase and they can resell them.

Paying your creditors
Have you ever thought of offering to pay all or part of your
cash debt to creditors in goods / services? If your creditor is
keen to receive payment they may be open to accepting goods /
services they can use in settlement of the debt. You simply pay
the bartercard supplier on behalf of the creditor in Trade
pounds and then arrange for delivery of the goods or fulfilment
of the service.
